Mar. 13, 2005

I hope no one got too terribly cold this winter. We stayed warm and had several nice visits with family in Missouri and Kansas. Liam is going to be 2 next month! It's hard to believe. He is still tall, skinny and has a big noggin. I don't remember when I sent the last update, but here's the reader's digest version of the last few months. Liam is a really good traveller! We had a 14 hour drive to Gamma's in Missouri for Christmas. He had a great time there and loves chasing around Gamma and Gampa's dog Ali. We had a scare at the end of January when Liam was admitted to the hospital for 3 days with pneumonia. We had an ambulance ride to the new hospital that is nearby and Liam was a real trooper! He did so well with the IV and even left the oxygen tube in his nose (once he realized he had no choice). We must have watched Finding Nemo 12-15 times while in the hospital with him. The staff there was exceptional and very caring. Finding Nemo is still his favorite movie and he can identify all the characters. He can't say all their names yet, but he's getting close. He absolutely loves his nursery school. He runs to his teacher every day when we get there to give her a big hug. He is learning to sing back-up on Old Macdonald (ee-ii-ee-ii-oo) and probably learns a new word every day. He said his first sentence last week. Brack taught him to say "I love mama." He still loves his baths and eats most anything we put in front of him (with a spoon and fork). He is also learning to jump on the trampoline. Some other news: Liam loves babies and will pull up my shirt to identify where the baby is. Yes, if you haven't heard, Liam will have a little brother or sister in August this year. He is really good with younger kids and babies and tries to help them by giving them a toy, juice, pacifier...etc. He's going to be a great big brother. Here are a few Valentine's pictures of the groovy little guy
